Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Black & White + one other colour

Hi Friends!

Today I have a card to share with you that I created as part of this weeks challenge happening over in the Kraftin' Kimmie Krafty Friends facebook group.

This weeks challenge is Black, White + one other colour

I decided to Ink up an amazing stamp set that I had yet to colour - Squishy Hugs! by artist Emilie Goulet

I thought this image would be perfect to create a black and white Polaroid effect...and I must admit...I am sooo thrilled with the results 

Once I finished my colouring, I used some vintage looking newsprint pattern paper I had in my collection and heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock. For my pop of colour, I used red heart enamel stickers.

Hi Friends! When I found out months ago that Stamp AnnieThing was launching their very own line of Inks...I can't tell you how excited I was. I decided to really put these Inks to the test by trying the most common techniques I usually use when playing around with Ink pads.

Card #1
For my first card, I decided to test how well you can layer the inks to get an blend from one colour to the next by doing basic stamping. The results impressed me...the ink stamps amazing and the colours are so vibrant. I used the Abstract Halftone boarder stamp to create this card. I felt my card needed a pop of colour so I took my mini ink pad directly to the paper to achieve the bright pink colour. Lastly, I used the Hello die and added a few iridescent sequins.  

Card #2

For my second card, I wanted to use Abstract Circles background stamp set in conjunction with Anns awesome Chibi Kid stamps to show you how great the new Boarder/Background stamps work with existing the existing line of stamps.

Card #3

For my final card, I decided to do some ink blending and wow...do these inks ever blend nice. I just used 2 ink colours and they blended like butter.

After I finished ink blending, I ran it through my die cutting machine with an embossing folder to achieve this awesome textured background. Of course I had to pair with with a super cute chibi image...in this case, I used Annie - You're Sweet

So there you have it, my three cards I created using the new inks and background stamps...All these products are a must for any stampers arsenal and I know I will be using them over and over again!

Studio Katia September 2018 Release Blog Hop

Hello Friends and welcome to the Studio Katia Fall 2018 Release Hop!! I can't begin to tell you how excited and honoured I am to be taking part in the release celebration.

I created two card projects to share with you today featuring the amazing new Fall release

The moment I saw the "A Cup Of Thanks" stamp set, I knew I just had to colour it up. I could picture the card I wanted to create instantly and if I'm being honest, my card turned out even better then I had envisioned. I used my Copic markers to colour the flowers, cup and saucer and then went overtop with my coloured pencils to add a bit more depth and pop to my colouring.

The stamp set comes with coordinating dies to cut out the main image but what I really love is that it also comes with two beautiful word dies. One says,"Thanks" and the other that says, "Tea"

I decided to diecut multiple "Thanks" out and stack them on top of themselves to create a really think word diecut. To finish it off, I coloured the bottom half with a soft yellow Copic marker and added some glitter for some extra sparkle. 

Finishing my card off was made super easy with the new Dotted Patterns Set 3...this set is so versatile . I only used a few elements from the set and was able to achieve a stunning layout. Really the possibilities are endless and I am so happy to have that die set in my collection as it is sure to get a lot of use. 

Lastly I added a few Clear Drops from the Clear Drops Mix to my card to finish off my card.

My second card is very fun and playful using the Kobi The Super Bear stamp set. 

I really enjoyed colouring him up and the Copic colouring hardly took any time at all. The stamp set has really cute sentiment and some really awesome word bubbles that are just classic. I diecut everything using the coordinating dies and created a simple Distress Oxide background that I diecut using the background die from Dotted Patterns Set 3 To finish off my card, I added a few red crystals from the July Crystals mix

Good Vibes with Vanessa

Hi Friends!

Today I have a groovy, clean and simple card to share with you that I created using Vanessa - Cheese

 

This awesome stamp set comes with a small flower stamp that I decided to stamp on her dress to add to the groovy flower child look I was going for. Once I finished stamping the flowers on her dress, I coloured her up with Copic markers and cut her out. I used a fun word die cut that went just perfect with the theme of my card. To finish off my card and to bring it all together, I used the Stars and Swirls stencil with my Distress Oxide inks.

September Peeks - Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Day 3

Welcome back to Day 3 of

the September sneak peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

I decided to do something I dont normally do and thats watercolour. I stamped the peppermints repeatedly to create a background and them coloured them up as well as the gingerbread house with water colour. I added a little extra sparkle by sprinkling some glitter overtop.

I decided to play around with my Oxide inks and coloured pencils to create this one layer card. I finished off the card by adding Nuvo drops and some black and white bakers twine.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - September Rubber Rerelease

As you know, Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps has been going strong for 8.5 years and has produced hundreds of amazing stamp sets but they can't keep them all in stock forever! So sometimes they have to retire them....but once in a while, it's super fun to bring back an older stamp set in red rubber!!

This week I am THRILLED to be sharing with you not ONE...but TWO

 fabulously cute rereleased stamp sets by artist Cheryl Grant!

I decided to give the no lines colouring technique another try this month. I was pretty pleased with the results and decided to keep my card layout on the simpler side to let my colouring take centre stage.

I created a shaker card using all of the elements from todays sneak peeks. All the stencils add such amazing texture and I love the Give Thanks die...the leaves alone in the die set are a must have and can be used on many occasions.
