Hi Friends!
Today we are kicking off another Slimline Challenge over on the My Favorite Things blog. We are challenging you to showcase your best Spring scene slimline card designs
It has been a minute since I last made a slimline card, so I jumped at the chance to participate in this challenge to create a Spring scene slimline.
I started by ink blending my background using Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks. Next I used the Twice the Hugs sentiment die set and cut out the word "Hugs" four times using my everyday white card stock and then adhered them on top of each other to created a popped up "HUGS" sentiment...I love how it looks
I adore the new Sittin' Pretty stamp set and was just itching to use it again and couldn't ask for a better project to do so than the Spring Slimline Challenge. I stamped all of the plant images as well as the 3 sweet little birdies, coloured them up with my Copic markers and then die cut them out using the coordinating Die-namics. Some of the images I adhered directly to my card front while others I added some foam tape to pop them up.
To complete my card I stamped a sentiment from the "Lots of Hugs" sentiment set and layered my card front onto a layer of Caribbean Sea and Butterscotch prestige card stock.
on a side note...would you like it if I included the Copic markers I used on my projects? Let me know in the comments below.
Always follow your creative heart

ReplyDeleteThanks Karen! Im going to make an effort to start writing my copics down so I can share in the future
