Happy Birthday, Friend!

Hi Friends!
Welcome back for another Wednesday Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things

I have been in a real rainbow mood the last few month and today was no exception - I may have gone a bit rainbow overload on this card...but can you honestly overdo it with rainbows? ;)

I pulled out the Balloon Bouquet stamp set and coordinating Die-namics for this weeks challenge, colouring them up with Copic markers.

I LOVE how the background turned out. To create the background, I mixed my Distress Inks with water - using a paintbrush to apply it to some Canson Bristol Smooth card stock. Next I used my Distress blower (sadly I believe this tool is no longer made) to blow air at the puddle of ink to create the rainbow splatters. You can get the same effect by using a straw if you don’t have a tool to blow the ink.
To finish off my card, I cut down my card front so its smaller than an A2 sized card, then matted it onto a piece of Lemon Chiffon prestige card stock from MFT. I stamped the sentiment in black onto Orange Zest Prestige card stock and cut it out, placing it on top of the balloons using foam tape.

Turn this inspiring sketch into a mini work to art to add to your stash - you could also add $50 worth of brand new MFT to your collection! Be sure to check out the MFT blog for more details
