Three Room Studio - Mom’s Hibiscus

Hi Friends!
Today is a special day…it’s a day to celebrate all the Mom’s in our lives and this is the card I created for my Mom for Mother’s Day.

I decided to use the mini but mighty stamp set from Three Room Studio called, “Mom’s Hibiscus”. The stamp is a singular floral stamp with a bunch of great sentiments. I decided to stamp and mask off the main floral hibiscus image to create a bouquet of gorgeous hibiscus.
I coloured them with Copic markers and then used my Scan and Cut to cut out the grouping of flowers.

I added foam tape to the back of the image to add height then placed it on top of a background I created by ink blending using Distress Oxide in Worn Lipstick, Scattered Straw, Twisted Citron, and Milled Lavender.

I was initially going to place the ink blended piece with the floral images onto a yellow background but felt it was missing something, so I used the Spring Flowers Background stamp from Simon Says Stamp in a coordinating ink for a tone on tone effect.

For my sentiment, I stamped “I Love You” from the Mom’s Hibiscus set onto a thin piece of pool coloured card stock. Using plain white card stock, I die cut out the letters to spell MOTHER from the In Stitches Alphabet Die-namics from My Favorite Things.
