I’m sure by now your list of “must haves” from this release keeps growing and growing...I know for myself, it sure was a challenge to decide which goodies I wanted to play with first. I decided to play with the “Thanks” Die-namics and the “Inside & Out Gratitude” stamp set.

I started by creating a background using the “Small Brick Wall” Stencil with texture pastes and distress sprays

I absolutely love how it turned out.

I then cut out some gold cardstock using the “Thanks” die-namic and placed it on top of a head embossed sentiment from the “Inside & Out Gratitude” stamp set.

MFT & Friends - August Release Celebration

Welcome to August 2022 Release celebration from My Favorite Things.

I’m sure by now your list of “must haves” from this release keeps growing and growing...I know for myself, it sure was a challenge to decide which goodies I wanted to play with first. I decided to play with the “Tall Hello” Die-namics, “How to Say Hello” stamp set, and lastly the “Paint Strokes” stencil.

I started off by using the “Tall Hello” Die-namics to cut out the letters using black cardstock. I cut multiple layers and glued them together to create thick letters. Next, I used Salvaged Patina oxide spray to mist the bottom portion of the letters. I love the effect this gave

I then created the background using the “Paint Strokes” stencil with Distress Transparent Crackle Paste and oxide sprays.

I placed the letters overtop of the crackle elements, heat embossed a sentiment in gold embossing powder from the “How to Say Hello” stamp set and matted my card front onto some teal colored cardstock.

MFT & Friends - Wish Big

I’m sure by now your list of “must haves” from this release keeps growing and growing...I know for myself, it sure was a challenge to decide which goodies I wanted to play with first. You can never have enough Birthday cards in your stash…so when I saw the “Wish Big” Die-namics, I knew I had to use them.

I created a clean and simple card project where I die cut out the “Wish Big” die-namics from a mixed media background I had made a few months back. 

I cut out a piece of white card stock using the “A2 Double Stitched STAX rectangles” Die-namics and then ink blended using a yellow ink. I then placed the die cut candles directly overtop, stamped a sentiment from the “Sweet 16” stamp set (which is this months Free with $60 purchase) using a black ink.

I then matted my card front using a dark pink card stock and placed it overtop of some kraft card stock.

I’m sure by now your list of “must haves” from this release keeps growing and growing...I know for myself, it sure was a challenge to decide which goodies I wanted to play with first. There was a stamp set in particular I really wanted to use and never got around to trying out…the “Fairy Best Friend” stamp set and coordinating Die-namics. It’s such a gorgeous set and I am so thrilled with the card projects I created using it. 

I started by stamping out the images from the “Fairy Best Friend” stamp set, colouring up the images using Copic markers and then cutting them out using the coordinating Die-namics

I ink blended some pink onto the white card stock for my background, Placed my coloured images on top using foam tape.

My Favorite Things - Pig Time Fun

Welcome to Day 4 of the June 2022 Release Countdown from My Favorite Things.

All the goodies you see today will be available for purchase Tuesday June 7th at 10am EST.

For my second card creation using the June release, I used the absolute must haves “Pig Time Fun" stamp set and coordinating Die-namics, "Sunny Rays Stencil" and lastly the 

"Stars & Stripes" Paper Pad.

I started by stamping out the images from the  "Pig Time Fun" stamp set, colouring up the images using Copic markers and then cutting them out using the coordinating Die-namics

Next, I used the "Sunny Rays Stencil" to ink blend with a turquoise coloured ink. I then used the red striped paper from the "Stars & Stripes Paper Pad".

To Finish off my card, I head embossed he sentiment using white embossing powder and glues all the elements of my card together.

MFT & Friends - Mixed media card using Perfect Poppies

I’m sure by now your list of “must haves” from this release keeps growing and growing...I know for myself, it sure was a challenge to decide which goodies I wanted to play with first. There was a die set in particular I really wanted to use and never got around to trying out…the “Perfect Poppies” Die-namics. It’s such a gorgeous die set and I am so thrilled with the card projects I created using it. 

I started by going crazy with my Distress Spray Stains and Oxide Sprays creating a background using reds, oranges, and yellows. I then die cut the background using the “Perfect Poppies” Die-namics. Next I did some ink blending using a black ink the darken up the edges a bit so the colours would become a bit more muted.

I then created another background to place my newly created poppies on. I used the “Lots of Hearts” stencil with translucent crackle paste and then sprayed greens, oranges and yellows overtop. Once it was dried, I added some foundry wax overtop of the textured elements to give the card a but more interest and help emphasize the crackle hearts.

To finish off my card, I matted my card front onto some kraft cardstock and heat embossed a sentiment from the “Everyday Scripted Greetings” stamp set using white embossing powder.

I’m sure by now your list of “must haves” from this release keeps growing and growing...I know for myself, it sure was a challenge to decide which goodies I wanted to play with first. I decided to play with a bunch of goodies I really wanted to use but didn’t get the chance during release week. I used  the "Fairy Special" stamp set and coordinating Die-namics as well as the previously released “Inside & Out Stitched Arches STAX” ( a must have in my opinion) and the “Colorful Canvas” paper pad.

I started by stamping out some of the adorable images from the “Fairy Special” stamp set, colouring up the image using Copic markers and then cutting it out using the coordinating Die-namics.

I used the “ Inside & Out Stitched Arches STAX” Die-namics to cut out a white piece of cardstock. I then ink blended it using a green and dark pink ink to create my background for my scene. There is a grass stamp included in the “Fairy Special” stamp set that I used to stamp multiple times…I really love how it turned out.

To complete my card, I cut down a piece of patten paper from the “Colorful Canvas” paper pad and stamped a the sentiment onto a piece of yellow card.

Im sure by now your list of must haves from this release keeps growing and growing...I know for myself, it sure was a challenge to decide which goodies I wanted to play with first. I decided to play with a bunch of goodies I really wanted to use but didn’t get a chance to during release week. I used  the "Sending Sunshine and Smiles" stamp set and coordinating Die-namics, “Tall Trees” Die-namics and lastly the “Repeating Rainbow” background stamp.

I started by stamping out some of the adorable images from the “ "Sending Sunshine and Smiles"” stamp set, colouring up the image using Copic markers and then cutting it out using the coordinating Die-namics.

The moment I opened my MFT design team box and laid eyes on the “Repeating Rainbow” background stamp set, I knew I just HAD to use it. I stamped it out and heat embossed it using a white embossing powder then ink blended overtop creating a rainbow blend using my MFT premium die inks.

I cut out an arched shape using Inside & Out Stitched Arched STAX Die-namics (say that 10 times fast haha) and then Ink blended the background to create my grass and clouds.

I then die cut out the trees using the “Tall Trees” Die-namics and placed them on either side of the arched die cut.

To finish my card, I stamped the sentiment directly on top of the arched piece and then heat embossed a sub sentiment using white embossing powder.

Im sure by now your list of must haves from this release keeps growing and growing...I know for myself, it sure was a challenge to decide which goodies I wanted to play with first. I decided to play with the "Playtime Pals" stamp set and coordinating Die-namics.

I started by stamping out some out the adorable bear bouncing on the ball image from the “Playtime Pals” stamp set, colouring up the image using Copic markers and then cutting it out using the coordinating Die-namics.

I really love clean and simple card designs, it's just so pleasing to the eyes. I used the "Circle Extraordinair" Stencil to mask off and create my background scene. I then stamped the sentiment as well as the bouncing line image directly on top of my card front using black ink. To finish off my card, I used a piece of pattern paper from "Time to Celebrate" paper pad as well as a small strip of matching red card stock.

MFT & Friends January 2022 Release

One of the many discoveries I had last year was with how much I enjoy making non colouring cards. I wanted to challenge myself today to create one of those cards and I am pretty pleased with how it turned out.

To start my card, I heat embossed the "Never-Ending Love" background stamp with white embossing powder , then  ink blended overtop using a red, yellow, blue and purple ink to create a rainbow blend.

I placed my white layer overtop  which I had die cut using a stitched hill die from MFT.

I wanted the only pop of colour on my card to be the ink blended background...so the sentiment from the "Straight from the Heart" set was stamped in black ink.

To finish off my card, I heat embossed a sentiment from the "itty Bitty Love" stamp set and popped it up using foam tape. Lastly, I added a small strip from the "Black & White" 6x6 paper pad and added a few sequins.

MFT & Friends - September Release

Welcome to the My Favorite Things September MFT & Friends release celebration. Over the past 5 days, we showcased the amazing new goodies that are now available in the MFT online shop.

Today I created a slimline Christmas card that can quickly be massed produced yet packs a lot of punch style wise. 

I used the Santa Sends His Love and Sweet Christmas stamp sets which are pretty unique. There are solid and outline images that can be stamped in various colours to create fast, bright and cheery images.

I used the slimline Stitched Circle Trio die set and then stamped the Christmas Greetings background stamp in black ink onto white card. I then placed the stamped images in the centers of the circle windows.

To finish off my card, I heat embossed the Itty Bitty Holiday sentiment set with white embossing powder onto black cardstock and then cut hem out using the Itty Bitty Banners Die-namics

MFT & Friends Release August Countdown

Hi Friends!

TODAY IS THE DAY!! Welcome to the final day of the My Favorite Things August Release Countdown. ALL of the amazing new goodies are now available in the MFT online shop!!!

Today I created a clean and simple card that perfectly showcases the adorable illustrations in the Dino Adventure stamp set. 

I stamped out and colored up the images using my Copic markers and then cut them out using the coordinating Die-namics. 

I needed to create a scene for my colored images, so I pulled out the Circle Extraordinaire masking stencil and ink blended by laying the Mini Cloud Edges overtop. I love the effect it give.

To finish off my card, I stamped the sentiment overtop in black ink and then paired it with an piece of fun pattern paper from the Party Time 6x6 paper pad.

MFT & Friends - July Release

Hi Friends!

Woohoo!! The day you have been waiting for is finally here! The July release from My Favorite Things is now available from the MFT online store

I created a simple yet impactful card that you can whip up in no time at all…and I must say the sentiment from the Sassy Pants Birthday Greetings 3 set did give me a chuckle. 

I stamped out the Happy Birthday sentiment stamp and then die cut it out using the coordinating Happy Birthday Die-namics. The brush lettered Happy Birthday pairs perfectly with Sassy Pants Birthday Greetings.

The background was created using the new free form Watercolor Wash stencil with Distress Oxides (Hickory Smoke, Peacock Feathers and Scattered Straw)

To finish off my card, I die cut out the card front using A2 Double Stitched Rectangle STAC Die-namics and then matted it onto some Caribbean Sea card stock.

MFT & Friends - Fishing You the Best Day Ever

 Hi Friends!

 Welcome to the June 2021 MFT & Friends Release celebration! As always, My Favorite Things knocked this release out of the park and I had so much fun creating my projects. 

For my final project of the release countdown, I decided to create a mini slimline card using the You Keep Me Afloat stamp set and coordinating Die-namics.

To create my scene, I started by ink blending a rainbow using Distress Inks using the Ray Of Light stencil from My Favorite Things. Next, I used Slimline Ocean Motion Die-namics and ink blended them using various blue Distress Inks and then layered new Wavy Lines stencil overtop to add some more texture and visual interest to my card. 

I coloured the adorable image of the bunny in the boat using Copic markers and die cut it out using the coordinating Die-namics. 

To finish off my card, I placed my card front onto a card base of kraft card stock, stamped the sentiment and added a fine strip of patterned card stock using the 6x6 Black & White stripes pattern paper pad.

MFT & Friends May 2021

Hello Hello!!!

Today is the day! The amazing May 2021 release is available for purchase from the My Favorite Things online shop. So to celebrate, we are taking one final day to showcase this awesome release.

I stamped the Freshly Picked Bouquet stamp set using VersaMark ink onto some vellum and heat embossed it using gold embossing powder, then cut it out using the coordinating Die-Namics. 

I decided to pull out my Distress Inks and Distress Oxide inks and went to town created an ink smooshed background.

I wanted this to be a Mother’s Day card for my mother-in-law, so I spelled out the word “Mom” using the new In Stitches Die-namics. Next, I heat embossed the sentiment “With Love” in white embossing powder onto a die cut piece if Poppin’ Pink card stock with the Fishtail Foundations Die-namics.
