My Favorite Things - Floral Focus Card Kit - Release Day
Hi Friends!
Today we are showcasing and celebarting the release of the Floral Focus card kit from My Favorite Things! I had so much fun playing with this kit and I cannot wait to see what you make with it.
I decided to make a card that anyone can whip up in no time. I started by die cutting multiples of one of the floral outlines from the In-Focus Floral Die-namics. I then stacked them on top of each other to create a gorgeous eye catching centrepiece to my card.
I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Basics set and die cut it out using the Itty Bitty Strips Die-namics. I decided to place the sentiment overtop of the floral die cut and then simply stamp a background using the Abstract Triangles background stamp in Oxide ink to tie it all together.
To finish off my card I added a few enamel dots and a pop of yellow in the form of a matting around my card.

My Favorite Things - Floral Focus Card Kit - Countdown Day 1
Hi Friends!
Welcome back for the second day of the My Favorite Things card kit countdown! The Floral Focus card kit features beautiful Die-namics, gorgeous card stocks and amazing sentiments that I know you will find yourself reaching for time and time again.
I decided to create a slimline card using the Slimline Stitched Circle Trio Die-namics as my jumping off point for the design and focal point of my card.
I die cut out three different designs of the In-Focus Floral Frames and placed them over the stitched circles windows. To make the frames pop, I did some quick ink blending behind the framed die cuts using Distress Oxide inks and then splattered some perfect pearls mixed with water.
To finish off my card I stamped a sentiment from the Friends Like You sentiment stamp set and cut it out using the Slimline Skinny Strips Die-namics

Heart Burst Hello card kit
Today we are kicking off the release of the Heart Burst Hello card kit from My Favorite Things.
The April kit has so much to offer... a great sentiment stamp set with a beautiful prism heart shape that also has coordinating Die-namics, there is also the most beautiful cursive word stamps and matching Die-namics that you will find yourself reaching for time and time again.
I wanted to challenge myself with this project to use colours I don't often find myself using, so I chose a colour palette of green, grey and red, which allowed the blacks and white to really pop off my card.
I pulled out my Distress Oxides and Distress Inks and played around with ink smooshing... I always have so much fun getting inky. I used a combination of Twisted Citron, Rustic Wilderness and Mowed Lawn for the hearts shape, and for the background I used Hickory Smoke and Black Soot. I love the added texture ink smooshing gives to my projects.
I cut the word "Hey" out multiple times using white card stock and glued them together for added dimension and then heat embossed the sentiment "Love you more" onto Black Licorice card stock using white embossing powder.
There was a small heart shape left over from the "Hey" word Die-namics and I didn't want it to go to waste, so I coloured it quickly with a red Copic marker and placed it onto my sentiment strip. To make the red a bit more cohesive on my project, I decided to use the same red Copic marker to colour strips of white cards stock to match the tiny heart and placed them on either side of my sentiment.
To finish off my card, I matted my card front onto some Prickly Pear card stock and placed a few iridescent sequins for that added sparkle.
The Heart Burst Hello card kit will be available Tuesday, April 20 at 10AM EDT

My Favorite Things Cats & Plants Card Kit Release
Hi Friends!
Just popping in to share some more inspiration using the March 2021 Cats & Plants card kit from My Favorite Things.
Working with this kit has been pure fun and I created a quick and simple card that you can whip up in no time.
I started by ink blending my background using the Rectangle Extraordinary Stencil with Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks and then adding some splatters using Oxide Sprays. I've been really having fun lately just playing around with my inks and creating backgrounds.
Next, I stamped out some of the adorable kitties from the Housecats stamp set, coloured them with Copics and then die cut them with the coordinating Die-namics. I knew I wanted to create a scene with Cats doing what they do best...causing trouble haha
I did add the Out of the Box Die-namics cause well...anyone with a cat knows...if there is a box left open a cat will surly find it.
Be sure to check out this amazing kit...its pure fun!
