Bellariffic Friday - Succulent Chicks

Hi Friends!
I am here with another Bellariffic Friday post to share with you. This week, I am played around with the Succulent Chicks stamp set from Stamping Bella and created a clean and simple card that anyone can whip up in no time.

I used Copic markers to colour these adorable Chicks and then die cut them out using the coordination Cut It Out dies

Copics
Chicks - YR18, YR16, Y17, Y15, Y13, YR27, YR24
Pots - E18, E19, E17, E15
Succulents - BV02, YG17, YG07, YG03, YG01

Although the stamp set came with a lovely sentiment, I decided to pull a sentiment from the Garden Girl Flower Sentiments stamp set.

To finish off my card, I used a woodgrain background stamp to create my backdrop and matted it on a coordinating card stock. lastly I added a few crystal gems for some extra sparkle and shine.

I hope you enjoyed my card creation for this weeks Bellariffic Friday! Also, be sure to stop by the Stamping Bella blog for more inspiration!

Bellariffic Friday - Balance

Bellariffic Friday Challenge - Vintage

Happy Friday Friends! I have another card creation to share with you today. This time its for the Bellariffic Friday challenge happening over on the Stamping Bella blog. This weeks challenge is "Vintage" and the design team was challenged to use any stamp set not from the recent release.

I pulled out the Cacti stamp set and the accompanying Cut It Out dies

I coloured the images with my Copic markers and added gold details to the pots using a gold gel pen. To carry through with the gold, I masked off  square area on my card  base and used some gold Nuvo Mousse to create a backdrop for my freshly coloured and die cut images.

I hope you like my card creation for this weeks Bellariffic challenge. Be sure to stop by the Bella blog to see what the rest if the design team created.

Bellariffic Friday - Stamp Of The Month

Hi Friends!
Welcome to another Bellariffic Friday post. This weeks challenge is to use the "Bee" Mine stamp set from Stamping Bella. All February, the stamp set will be on sale for 25%off...so if you love this stamp, now is the time to snap it up and save a few $$ while you are at it. Its a win win if you ask me :)

I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the image and coloured it using my copic markers. I used Copic blending solution on a nubby rag and pressed it against the image to get the texture. A word of advice though...make sure you only colour the areas that you want to add the texture to first, or your entire image will be texturized.

Be sure to hop on over to the Stamping Bella blog to see some amazing inspiration from the rest of the Design Team.

Until next time - Stephen

Bellariffic Friday - Backdrop

Hi Friends! Its Friday and that means its BellaRiffic Fridays over on the Stamping Bella blog. This weeks challenge is to use any stamp from the Stamp of the Month collection which is anything from the Backdrops collection. Stamping Bella has a wonderful collection of Backdrops that are must haves if you love crating scene cards.

For the challenge, I used the Tiny Townie Mermaid set and coordinating dies and accented it with the Undersea Backdrop
I coloured everything with my Copic markers and added droplets of Various Ink to create the bubble background.
I did some basic ink blending on the top layer of my card with Distress Oxides in the colours Faded Jeans and Broken China and then splattered it with water to get that bleached out effect.

I hope you like my card creation and be sure to check out the Stamping Bella Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team came up with.

Bellariffic Friday - Vintage

Hi Friends!
Its Friday and that means its time for some Stamping Bella inspiration. Wait till you see what the rest of the Stamping Bella Design Team came up with for this weeks challenge...oh! I guess I should say what the challenge is...This weeks challenge is "Vintage". Vintage as in - use any Stamping Bella stamp that is not from the latest release. So I used Peyton loves to Pretend from the Tiny Townie Collection as well as its matching cut it outs dies .

I decided to colour her with Prismacolor coloured pencils using the following colours

PRISAMACOLOR PENCILS
Skin - PC946, PC945, PC943, PC939, PC927, PC140, PC938
Hair - PC935, PC1067, PC1065, PC1061, PC938

Leggings -  PC1067,  PC1065,  PC1060,  PC938

To create my card layout, I used the meadow boarders dies from lawn fawn to create the grass and used my copic markers to add flicks of grass onto the cardstock. I did some ink blending with Distress Oxide overtop of Kraft Cardstock using Faded Jeans, Peacock Feathers, and Fossilized Amber. To finish off my card, I added some line detailing with a white as well as a black gel pen and a few sequins.

I hope you like my card creation for today! Be sure to check out the Stamping Bella blog to see what the rest of Bella design team came up with...get ready to be inspired!

Bellariffic Friday - Winter Backdrop Challenge

Hello Friends!
Its the first Bellariffic Friday of 2018!  Emily from Stamping Bella has given us some really fun challenges this month and I'm so excited to participate in them...be sure to play along in the Stamping Bella Sistahood! Facebook group
This weeks challenge is to create a card using the Winter Backdrop stamp set. This stamp set is 25% off for the entire month of January...be sure to snap it up if you can

I created a fairly simple shaker card that frames a small section of the Winter Backdrop stamp set. I chose to focus my attention on colouring a small area of the image with my Copic markers and use details like my diecuts and embellishments to help bring the scene to life.

What do you think?

Photoriffic Inspiration for Bellariffic Friday

Hello Friends!! As December is coming to a close, I am sharing my last Bellariffic Friday challenge for the year. This weeks challenge was to take inspiration from this photo.

I decided to pull my colour pallet from the inspiration photo to guide my card, as quite honestly, I'm a little tired of creating winter cards right now LOL. Therefore I went a little less of a winter direction in this weeks design. I used pattern paper from the Tim Holtz holiday collection and then die cut a rectangular window out of the pattern paper. I then did some ink blending with Distress Oxide inks using Black Soot as a base coat then layering Antique Linen overtop using the radiating rays stencil by MFT. To finish off my background, I added some dots and stars using my white gel pen.

I used Squidgy And Teddy stamp and die set by Stamping Bella as my focal image and coloured it with my Copics as well as some Windsor & Newton markers. I used the following colours

Copics/Windsor& Newton Brush Markers
Bear - W+N 0324, W+N 0324, E35, E34, E31
Skin - E04, E11, E21, E00, E50, R20
Heart - W+N M727, W+N R666
Hair/Shoes/Nose - T8, T6, T4, T2
Dress - W+N Y828, W+N Y657

To Achieve the texture on the bear, I poured some Copic various ink blending solution on a nubby rag and pressed it overtop of the finished coloured image.

To finish my card, I added a little glossy accents to her shoes, the bears nose and its heart and popped the image up with some foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed my card!

Until next time - Stephen

Stamping Bella Friday Challenge

Hello Friends! Its Bellariffic Friday over at the Stamping Bella blog and this weeks challenge is a card sketch.

I decided to follow the sketch completely and I am really pleased with how it turned out. I used Tiny Townie Susie the Succulent and her adjoining die.

I coloured her with my copic markers as well as a little bit of coloured pencil to get a extra definition in the nooks and crannies of this sweet image.

Copics:
Skin - E04, E11, E21, E00, E50, R2o
Hair - T7, T6, T4
Succulents - YG97, YG63, YG61, V91, RV95
Leggings - Y17, Y11, T4, T3, T1
Terracotta Pot - E19, E08, E97

Like I said earlier, I followed the card sketch completely and I kept the design pretty simple to allow the focus to remain on the image that I coloured.
I created a simple background, I used Distress Inks and blended Tumbled Glass for the sky and Shabby Shutters for the grass.

for the final detail, I added some Nuvo drops in English mustard for an extra pop of colour.

Lastly, I stamped the image in a very light grey ink on the inside of the card and then stamped the sentiment overtop in black ink.

I hope you enjoyed my card. Let me know who you would send this card to if you could.

Until next time - Stephen
