My Favorite Things - School Is Cool

Hi Friends!
Welcome to Day 3 of the August 2022 Release Countdown from My Favorite Things.
All the goodies you see today will be available for purchase Tuesday August 16th at 10am EST.

For todays card creation using the August release goodies, I created a project using the “School is Cool" stamp set and coordinating Die-namics, the “Notebook” paper pad, and previously released “Happy Swish” Die-namics.

I started by stamping out some of the adorable images from the “School is Cool” stamp set, colouring up the image using Copic markers and then cutting them out using the coordinating Die-namics.

Next, I used a sheet of pattern paper from the “Notebook” paper pad for my background, stamped some of the smaller images from the stamp set to create a repeating background. I also used the “Happy Swish” Die-namics to cut out some white cardstock which I coloured up using Copic markers to make a rainbow path for the adorable child to run across.

MFT September Release Countdown - Day 2

Hi Friends!

Welcome to the My Favorite Things September Release Countdown. Over the next 2 days, I will be showcasing a variety of amazing new goodies that will be available in the MFT online shop on Tuesday September 7th @ 10am

The Special Delivery stamp set and coordinating Die-namics is a versatile stamp set that you can not only create holiday projects with but honestly it can be used year round and for many occasions.

I stamped out the majority of the images from this set, coloured them up using Copics and then cut them out using the coordinating Die-namics.
I wanted to create a bright and cheery scene that necessarily wasn’t for Christmas so I used a primary colour palette.
The clouds were created by ink blending using the Slimline Cloud Edges stencil and I paired it with some snowy hills that I created by using the Stitched Slimline Snow Drifts.

To finish of my card, I placed the card front onto some black card stock that was slightly larger than the card front  and stamped the sentiment using black ink

MFT September Release Countdown - Day 3

Hi Friends!

Welcome to the My Favorite Things September Release Countdown. Over the next 3 days, I will be showcasing a variety of amazing new goodies that will be available in the MFT online shop on Tuesday September 7th @ 10am

I’m in the Christmas spirit with this release and I created a card that’s “purr-fact” for the cat fanatic in your life. The Meowy Christmas stamp set is filled with lots of adorable cat images that are so fun to colour up and create scenes with.

I selected a few of the images from the set, coloured them up with Copic markers and then cut them out using the coordinating Die-namics.
I wanted to play with the new Fireplace Die-namics side set and it works perfect for my Christmas kitty scene. I pulled out the Window Dressing die-namics which is perfectly sized to go with the fireplace…I am gonna have so much fun creating winter scenes using these dies.
To create the wallpaper, I simply cut a piece of Cheerful Plaid of the 6 x 6 paper pad…that pattern paper set is the perfect addition (and must have) to your pattern paper collection.
I hope you enjoyed my card creation for today using all the lovely new MFT goodies!
I will see you tomorrow with more previews and inspiration :)

MFT February 2021 Release

Hi Friends!
I have been a fan of MFT since I was a baby card maker...all their images are completely adorable, so fun to colour up and the quality of all their products are second to none.  When I had the opportunity to be a guest designer for this month's release I said yes instantly! It was like Christmas Day when my package arrived from them and I got to see all the goodies first hand.
I had so much fun creating with this release that I made four fun projects to share with you.

MICE DAY TO CELEBRATE

My first project features the "Mice Day To Celebrate" stamp set. I coloured up the images with Copic markers and created a cute scene card using a variety of images from this amazing set.

FEEL BETTER

Next I decided to create a clean and simple "get well" card using the Stacey Yacula stamp set, "Feel Better". I have been such a fan of Stacey Yacula's art for ages and this was my first time colouring up some of her images and it certainly wont be my last time.

SWEET CELEBRATION

For my third card, I instantly saw this simple scene card in my head when I looked at the "Sweet Celebration" stamp set. I  quickly coloured up up this lovely image using my Copic markers.  For the background, I  created the clouds using Copics as well and feel like it perfectly finished off the scene.

BALLOON BESTIES & HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY

For my final project, I wanted to do a slime line card that showcased the "Balloon Besties" stamp set. I coloured up my favourite images from the set using Copics and then created an ink blended background using Distress Oxide inks. I was going to use one of the accompany sentiments from the set but decided to use the beautiful "Happiest Birthday" sentiment stamp and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.

I so hope you enjoyed my card projects showcasing the February 2021 release from MFT!   I also would like to give a big thank you to MFT for having me guest design this month...one thing off my bucket list.

Until Next Time - Stephen

MFT Stamps - London Mouse

Hi Friends!
Just wanted to share a card I made for my Dad's Birthday.

London Mouse stamp set by MFT stamps

My dad (and my entire family actually) is a big fan of the British Royal Family and all the presents I got him for his birthday  this year are themed around that. I was going through my stamp collection and discovered I had purchased this super adorable stamp set from MFT years ago and never used it (oops!!). The stamp set is called London Mouse and unfortunately it is a retired set...I hope you don't mind but I wanted to share this card creation with you still.
I coloured all the images with Copic makers and added some minor details with coloured pencil. I ink blended the background using Distress Inks and stencilled the cobblestone pavement using a stencil from Stamp Anniething.
I adore making scene cards and this one was super fun to create.
I hope you liked my card creation for today!
Until next time - Stephen
